Blue Tit
Blue Tit (Cyanistes caeruleu) is less popular than Great Tit, but it is still rather popular bird. I like it's blue very much.

Conducting great orchestra
There was a problem with light, but I like this 'scene' -- only two players and conductor. (The last two violinists are conducted by Marek Moś, while viola player goes out.)
The photo was taken on sunday concert in Chorzów Culture Center. In fact it is the end of the Symphony No. 45 in F-sharp minor, known as the "Farewell" Symphony, by Joseph Haydn -- musicians are asked to go out in the finale.

World Book Day
The interior of the bookstore Królewska Huta. (Królewska Huta is the name of the part of todays Chorzów -- the polish translation of german Königshütte -- some shops in the centre of Chorzów uses this name. The name is derived from the settlement build (1799) for workers of the steelworks "König" (king in german).)

Inside Assumption of Mary Church
Interior of Assumption of Mary Church in Chorzów Batory. The photo was taken before Easter, so the church is still in the lent decorations. The ropes below celing are installed because of mining damage. The Assumption of Mary Church was built in Gothic Revival style.
And below - tulips for m_m from Nowy Sącz Daily Photo (because of the tulips on this blog). Tulips are blooming on many squares in Chorzów.

Playing children
When I posted this playground in February, Jarart asked me: No children playing this day? So, today with playing children :)

Dido and Aeneas
Yesterday, I was in Chorzów Culture Center to see (and hear) performance of Henry Purcells' "Dido and Aeneas". The opera was performed by young people from Upper Silesia, I think, half of them were amteurs. But Dido's "When I am laid in earth" moves me everytime. Above: Aleksandra Hruby as Dido, and Jarosław Kitala as Aeneas. Below: Aleksandra Hruby (Dido) and Joanna Wojnowska as Belinda (in "When I am laid in earth").

Karolinka and Karliczek
The sculpture (in the Silesian Culture and Recreation Park) represents two lovers from the folk song "Karolinka" (or, for many people "Poszła Karolinka do Gogolina" -- "Caroline went to Gogolin"). Lovers names are: Karolinka (diminutive from Karolina (Caroline)) and Karliczek (diminutive from Karol (Charles)).

Cemetery on Easter
I promised to MaCobra to show a cemetery in Easter time. This photo was taken on Holy Saturday on new cemetery in Chorzów Batory. I am still surprised by countless Easter decorations on the tombs.

I like colour of this small building in the Silesian Culture and Recreation Park, especially with the snow in background (the photo was taken on February 22nd).
