Yesterday I attended funeral of my neighbor on St Hedwig Cemetery and the burial service in the Saint Hedwig Cemetery Chapel (on the photo).

Squirrel in the Silesian Culture and Recreation Park. Winter is bad time for animals -- they sometimes ask people for food. Yesterday a squirrel (not this one!) jumped on my trousers, asking for nuts. But I hadn't any with me.

PS. Today is playing Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (GREAT ORCHESTRA’S OF CHRISTMAS CHARITY) -- below volunteers on Wolności Street (Liberty Street) in Chorzów. In this year, they collect money for early cancer diagnosis in children.

Boy with a Swan

This photo is from June, but Fio provoked me presenting another copy of Theodor Kalide "Boy with a Swan" from Gliwice. Theodor Kalide was born in Königshütte (now: Chorzów) in 1801, and died in Gliwice. The photo was taken on Matejko's Square in Chorzów.

The other "Boys with a Swan" are in Wilanów (Warsaw) and Gliwice (The Museum of Artistic Casting).
