Chorzów is almost 500 km from the nearest sea, but we have an anchor. The anchor is the relict of the real ship used in Gdańsk Bay. Now the anchor is situated in the Silesian Culture and Recreation Park, near the pond, where very small ship are still used for tourists (but not in winter).

Chorzów is situated on the Rawa river on the Silesian Highland in the heart of the Upper Silesian Industrial Area, 7 km north-west of Katowice.
